Paying for your purchase at iUsed with Bancontact

Bancontact is a popular Belgian payment method that allows you to pay for online purchases easily. You can also use this payment method at iUsed. Once your order is completed, we receive a confirmation and can start processing your order.

Here's how to complete your payment:

  1. Choose the refurbished product you want at iUsed and add it to your shopping cart.
  2. Proceed to checkout and enter your personal details and delivery address.
  3. Check your order and select Bancontact as your payment method.
  4. Continue to the secure payment environment.
  5. Follow the payment instructions on the screen to complete your purchase.

You don't need to make a separate bank transfer. The payment process always starts with your order on the iUsed website.

Using Bancontact on your smartphone or computer

There are several ways to confirm your payment. The options available depend on the device you use to place your order and the payment methods shown on the screen.

Paying with your smartphone

Are you placing your order directly from your phone? You can usually complete your payment easily through your banking app or the Bancontact Pay app.

  1. Select Bancontact at checkout.
  2. In the payment environment, choose the option to pay through your banking app or the Bancontact Pay app.
  3. Tap the button to open the payment app.
  4. You will be redirected to the appropriate app. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  5. Check that the amount and payment details match your order.
  6. Approve the payment using your PIN, fingerprint or facial recognition.
  7. Return to the payment page if this doesn't happen automatically and wait for confirmation.

Good to know: Your banking app is used to approve the payment. You don't need to transfer the money yourself within the app.

Paying with your computer

Would you prefer to order on a larger screen? If this option is available, you can use a QR code to complete your payment.

  1. Select Bancontact during checkout on the iUsed website.
  2. If a QR code appears on your computer screen, leave the page open.
  3. Open the Bancontact Pay app or a compatible banking app on your smartphone.
  4. Look for the option to scan a QR code in the app.
  5. Scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
  6. Check the payment details and confirm the transaction in your app.
  7. Wait until the payment has been completed on your computer. Only then should you close the payment page.

Using the QR code automatically fills in the relevant payment details. You don't need to enter an account number or amount yourself.

Why you don't need to make a separate bank transfer

Sometimes, customers select Bancontact, open their banking app and then create a bank transfer themselves. This isn't how the process should work. When you pay through Bancontact, the payment is started from the webshop and automatically linked to your order.

If you transfer the money yourself outside the payment environment, our systems may not recognise the payment immediately. As a result, your order may still appear as unpaid, which can delay processing.

Remember to:

  • Select Bancontact during checkout at iUsed.
  • Follow the instructions shown on the payment screen.
  • Use your banking app only to confirm the payment provided.
  • Do not make a separate bank transfer to an iUsed bank account.

This helps you avoid unnecessary delays. Once we receive confirmation of your payment, we can continue processing your order, so you can enjoy your new Apple device as soon as possible!

Payment unsuccessful? Here's what you can do

Can't complete your payment, or did you accidentally close the payment page? First, check your banking app to see whether the purchase amount has already been debited from your account. If no payment has been made, you can try again through the checkout process on the website.

Has the amount been debited, but you haven't received an order confirmation? Don't try to pay again straight away. Contact our customer service team and provide your order number, if you have received one. We'll be happy to help you check whether your payment has been received correctly.
