How do you create a digital signature on your MacBook?
Digitally signing documents is a big challenge for many. What these people likely don't know is that in the Preview app, you can easily add a digital signature to a PDF! Here are a few steps involved:
- Click on the Toolbox icon (the pen in a circle) in Preview to enable document editing.
- Next, all the editing options will appear. The seventh icon from the left, which looks like handwritten text, offers the option to add a signature.
- If you've previously created and saved a signature, you can find it here. You can also add a new signature at the bottom.
- When adding a digital signature, you have two options: using the camera or the trackpad.
- The trackpad is the quicker option. You can use your fingers, but a stylus gives a more accurate result.
- However, using the camera provides the best result. Sign your name on white paper with a pen and then hold it up to the webcam. Try not to move too much and ensure your signature is neatly aligned with the blue guideline.
- Afterward, save it, and you can place your signature anywhere.
